How Jesus Christ Changed My Life.

Hello, My name is Su Jin. As you already know, I have a Korean name, that’s Su Jin. I’m very honored to have a chance to praise the name of God and Jesus Christ. And I’m also glad to talk about how Jesus Christ changed my life.

I’m from China. When I lived in China, I had some problems in my mind. Life in this world always seemed very hard to me. When I grew up in China, I had hard times to face my life and situation. Actually, I had health problem. From my young days I had been weak and often had been sick, and I had spent long time in hospital. Also, my parents always want me to follow their plan for my life. But I still didn’t know what I should do in my life. I didn’t know what was my purpose? So I didn’t have any passion and peace in my life. Sometimes, I feel very lonely and sometimes I feel very sad. I was like a aimless boat in the sea.

When I studied in the university last year, I had terrible sleeping problem. However I might try to sleep, I couldn’t sleep at all. I often stayed up all night with open eyes in spite of trying to sleep and I was very tired and sad in day. I didn’t know why and I thought I had some problems in my mind. I tried every ways to solve this problem, and sometimes it’s working, but it didn’t last long. Even after I came to America and have studied here, I also had hard time sleeping at night. I felt something bad always follow me, stayed with me and harassed me. Most Chinese people do not believe in God. People think they can do everything for themselves and I also tried to figure out my problem for myself. But I felt I lost the direction in my life. I didn’t know which way I should go.

When I came back to America again after visiting China last year, I had strong feeling I want to go to church. I just want to find a quiet place to think. Although I was not a Christian at that time, I had feeling I could find what I want in the church. People told me about God and explained to me how God loves me and also wanted me to accept Jesus Christ. I did not know about who Jesus is and why he loves me. But through the bible study, I wanted to know more and more about God, Jesus Christ and holy spirit. And finally I received Jesus Christ as my eternal lord, I totally came to believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins and I am not a sinner anymore after I accepted Jesus Christ in my heart ! 2 Corinthian, 5:17 says “therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come!” I became totally new creature in Jesus Christ ! This makes me very very happy, exciting and touched my heart. I realized I had so many sins and sometimes my sins made me feel scary. God loves people and kill his son to save us. I am really thankful to god and the blood of Jesus Christ set me free completely. My feeling about God is very soft and warm. I always talk to God, I have conversation everything about my life with God. Whenever I talk and pray to God, he always gives me soft and warm hug. After I received Jesus Christ in my heart, I have cried a lot. Because I really felt how God killed his son for me and this fact really touched my heart. Who can do this for me in this world ! I become to really love God’s word. I read bible every day, and I meditate God’s word.  I believe God’s word has great power and which leads me a good life. I love God’s word, I really love the bible. I believe every single word in bible is true. When I read bible, I can feel power and energy. Only God’s word gives me a strength and now I become a person with strong heart ! One day, I found psalm 127:2 says that he grants sleep to those he loves. This word is really true ! After receiving Jesus Christ, my sleeping problem totally disappeared. Now I can take a really deep and peaceful sleep. Praise the Lord.

I want to share my one experience. I had changed a little bit after receiving Jesus Christ. But sometimes I felt some bad thing come back to me and made me uncomfortable, it was like a ghost. But actually I didn’t know what kind of thing made me sad and scared. Anyway I could feel something bad existed. I was very depressed and sad before the day when God met me and hold me.

One day, in the middle of service, I prayed in my heart. Holy spirit showed me some pictures of my life, it passed like a flash in front my eyes. Even I closed my eyes, I could see very clearly some pictures of life about good things and bad things and those flashes passed very fast. Suddenly my heart started to beat and pound very fast and it lasted for about 10 minutes. I closed my eyes and kept praying, it felt like there were no one in the church except for me and God and God hold me very tightly, I cannot describe that feeling, that feeling was really really strong, I felt like my heart was exploded and my body was shaken for about 10 minutes. And I suddenly I felt bad thing was gone from me and I could feel how God loves me. God didn’t say anything to me, but I could understand what God wanted to tell me. He showed me all bad memories, and he told me all bad thing has gone. Romans 9:39 (“anything will not be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our lord”.) This word is really true. And my fear, worry, loneliness disappeared. Actually, it was clouded on that day, but that day was really shining to me.

Very interesting thing was that God also healed my body. Actually I had very weak heart, so always I had suffered from blood circulation problem. Always my hand and feet had been very cold, especially in winter. Then after believing in Jesus, my hand and feet became warm, sometimes I sweat in my hand. This is really miracle for me. I really believe God heal not only our heart but also our body through Jesus Christ. I also believe he will give me more strong body.

I want to finish my story. Now I love God, I love Jesus Christ, I love Holy spirit. I really love the bible, I want to know about God’s word and I want to memorize God’s word more and more. In my hometown, we don’t have church. So I can’t go to church in my country, but I don’t worry about that. Because I can talk and pray to God every moment, and I also know God always goes with me. Now I know my purpose of life is to praise Jesus’ name. My heart is getting strong, and I have confidence to face my future. Because I know he wants me to grow up in his word, I’ll never go to the wrong way. Also, I hope my country and all Chinese people will be saved. Please pray for my country and all Chinese people to be saved. Although I don’t know my future, I want to give my whole life for Jesus Christ if God wants to use me for his kingdom. Lastly, I really would like to thank New Life Church and all church members to make me Christian and give me warm kindness and attention and love.
